Applicant ony certificate

From 17th June 2013

DBS will only issue disclosures to the applicant (Protection of Freedoms Act 2012). The Registered Body will no longer receive a copy.

If there is conviction or other adverse information contained on the certificate, you must ask the applicant to show this to you as only they are informed of what is printed on the certificate.

Both the agency and applicant are notified by email when the result is actioned (including clear and adverse content)and is also shown live on the agency screen with a green or red dot.
